The two primary institutions created by God are the Church and the Family. we like to help the two connect! The family is God's natural discipleship group, so it is our desire to equip and train parents to raise disciples in their own homes. As God instructed Moses in Deuteronomy 6,
"These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates."
In order to help bring the Bible to life in all aspects of family life, we have created the following strategy:
Quarterly "Equip" seminars offered for parents! Various topics offered ranging from adjusting to a newborn to handling the life changes of a pre-teen.
Focus on the Family "Generation to Generation" bulletins are distributed to parents (in their church mailbox) once a month.
Homeschool Support Group. ECC homeschool parents get together to share the struggles and joys of homeschool as well as ideas for greater effectiveness for the homeschooling environment.
