Camp Michindoh registration!

Primary Camp

The church camp experience begins at Primary Camp for 7-9 year olds with a 3 day, 2 night stay from July 16th-July 18th. Registrations will be accepted per availability at the cost of $135.

Junior Camp

Junior Camp is for those 9-12 year olds who are ready to experience a full week of church camp. These campers will spend 6 days, 5 nights from July 23rd-July 28th.  Registrations will be accepted per availability at the cost of $255.

The optional Buffalo Ranch is an off campus trip to a working buffalo ranch.  Junior campers will enjoy both a horseback trail ride and a wagon ride where they will observe and feed buffalo.  There is an additional charge of $30 for this experience. 


Once you arrive at the Camp Michindoh page, you will need to click on Register for Camp and create an account to register.  Once the registration asks you to enter a GHR ID, use “ECC2017.”  This code will automatically assign you to the Emmanuel group.  A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to register for camp.  Any remaining balance is due 2 weeks prior to the camp dates. There are no refunds for cancellations within 10 days prior to the camp start date. 


General Details


Camp Michindoh is located at 4545 E. Bacon Road Hillsdale, MI.  Michindoh is on the corner of MICHigan, INDiana, and OHio; thus the name MICH-IND-OH!  This is approximately a 2 hour drive one way.


Multiple Child Scholarships

If you are sending more than one child to camp from your home, we have the opportunity to offer your family a discount due to the generosity of other ECC members.  After a full payment for one child, ECC will scholarship $50 toward each additional child that you register from your home.

Financial Need Scholarships

At ECC, we value the opportunity to provide Christian camp for the children of our community. It is our intention that no child be deprived of attending camp and hearing the Gospel.  While we do our part as a church family, we also expect that families will do what they can to make this life changing experience possible for their children. If you find yourself in need of assistance, please follow these steps:

1. Determine what your specific need is.  In most cases families are able to pay for at least part of the camping experience.

2. Request assistance 

3. An approval will be made within one week of the application. 

4. Register your child and the church will cover the balance that you were approved for.


Housing and Meals

Camp Michindoh is known for their all-you-can-eat delicious buffets!  Housing will take place at the Harmony Springs Western Village.  The children will enjoy sleeping in either a teepee or western miner tent with bunk beds that have a comfortable mattress, electric lighting and fans to keep cool.  These units are spacious and provide the fun theme of a western village but with the comfort of a cabin. 


Medication & Allergies

If your child takes regular medications, there is a full-time trained nurse on staff that will administer all needed medications.  If your child has any food allergies that we need to be aware of, please let Pastor Shandra know and the camp will be happy to accommodate any and all needs.


Michindoh Staff

Camp Michindoh is owned by Spring Arbor University which allows a partnership with the college students that attend the university.  Most of the counselors are college-aged students that are seeking ministry.  Their youthful energy and enthusiasm partnered with their heart for the Lord is a perfect match for the summer Michindoh staff.  Pastor Shandra also stays at camp the entire week with the children to build relationships and be there as needed for all the ECC campers!  



THIS IS A CHANGE FROM PREVIOUS YEARS!  ECC will provide transportation home from camp for Primary campers on Tuesday, July 18th and Friday, July 28th for the Junior campers.  PARENTS NEED TO TAKE CAMPERS TO MICHINDOH FOR REGISTRATION!!!


Arrival Time

Check in for Primary camp will take place on Sunday, July 16th, at 4pm at CAMP MICHINDOH!  You can anticipate the check-in process to take an hour.  Check in for Junior camp will take place on Sunday, July 23rd, at 4pm at CAMP MICHINDOH!  You can also anticipate the check-in process to take an hour.  


Departure Time

Primary Campers will return to ECC on Tuesday, July 18th at 1pm.  Junior Campers will return to ECC on Friday, July 28th at 1pm.
